Consider the following two types of people, we would always want to be like one of these type ourselves but which on should it be???
The first is a person who does not do anything wrong, he does not hurt anybody, follows all the rules of his religion, follows all the laws and does as he is told to do by others(as long as its not against the law), even though some of the things he does may be not what he intends to do but is forced to do so due to pressure from say the govt./religoin/etc., i.e. this is a person who tries his best to make everyone happy even though he himself may not be getting a good deal out of this.
The second is a person who would rather try to change the world when he feels something is not right. This person would stand up for what he feels is right and fight for it. This person wouldn't care if anybody else is hurt or discomforted by his views. This person would keep fighting till he gets what he wants.
Which person would you want to be???
The first is a person who leads a perfect life from every ones point of view. He has hurt no one, broken no law, done nothing wrong.
The second is a person with an identity of his own. He wouldn't care about the rest of the world's viewpoint, as long as what he feels is correct.
Mahatma Gandhi was a person of the second type. So were Hitler and any other murderous killers.

when i saw ash from up-close
bollywood's learning something alright! like makin some good movies...some 'actually-good' movies...movie story writers have never been intelligent enough to learn bigger shapes than "(love) triangles (and squares, occasionally)" ..so how abt saying that the folk r fed up of watching sickeningly romantic movies all the while and have progressed summat to appreciate the crap out of movies with good themes...well???
whats the new jolt in the abs then?...ppl have started realising that relationships besides stranger-girl--stranger-boy exist...lets say, hopefully we'll soon have movies that focus on relationships like father-son or sister-brother, instead of the monotonous 1-4-3 ones ending up in the hero and heroine dancing away merrily in switzerland, and where later on the heroine's daddy sends out a couple of gangsta kids who teach the hero a lesson and whip him in the arse...but still he manages..he gracefully 'adjusts' and using his brawns, wins the heart of his....yuck!!
"chak de india", " cheeni kum","swades", "nishabd", "bhagban"... movies with a message, we definitely need to have more of them...thankfully the malayalam industry is millions of times better off, since the big names here do not think that beating up a dozen rogues with the little finger and triumphantly twirling their moustache is their only job...indians r probably learning slowly to accept only something thats definitely not larger than life...
dhoom 2: first day, evening show, the last entry...i got a ticket in the lower circle, and sat in the very first row...tilting my head unto the mid-heavens, in wait of some promised action on the screen... body-gel manufacturers musta made a real good deal from the movie.. ash, bipasha and hrithik were bent on showing ppl their inability to afford clothing.. i dont give a tiny rat's underwear abt their "physique or whatever"... but i know... i tell u i was sitting in the first row... and there was too much oil on their skin... from that position, if u watch the movie while u r healthy, u r gonna have a severe stomach ache (i'm the anubhavam guru here)... but if u r helpless with constipation..like u haven't been able to shit in the last six months or something, and have tried out every possible pill, then dhoom 2 is ur saviour...the oily torsos will surely jiggle up the rotting stuff in ur intestines and u can purge with relief...aah!
